Allison Andrews of APA Consulting, works tirelessly helping people in business and doing community service. Since a young age she was taught that you have to give back more than you receive. While being a strategic consultant for small businesses she has donated several hours in free consultation to improving the San Diego business community during harsh economic times. Andrews has owned a boutique and even directed the 1st San Diego Fashion Week through an exhausting, failing economy. The lessons Andrews learned and relationships she created have been curial to her success. This tireless energy has resulted in excellent community relations in San Diego, and beyond. Andrew’s gets great satisfaction applying her network, resources and knowledge to helping organizations and non-for-profit organizations in San Diego. Giving back to the community is a high priority for Andrews and APA Consulting. As co-founder of the Ross Family Foundation, Andrews handles all San Diego philanthropic efforts. San Diego Love on A Leash is a chapter of the national Foundation for Pet Provided Therapy which is a 501(c)(3) charity recognized by the IRS, providing services to the San Diego area.
Our organization is comprised of teams of handlers and their pets who volunteer their time and love to members of our community:
-To those struck by tragedy, we provide visits to hospitals, hospices, emergency areas and homes to comfort those affected;
-To seniors, we provide visits to health centers, assisted living centers, adult day care centers, Alzheimer facilities and homes to provide companionship through regular visits;
-To children, we provide visits to schools and libraries to encourage and promote improved reading skills. and education on proper pet care and handling; and
-To people with pets, we provide assistance in therapy training, evaluation and certification, and assistance in matching them with the right service opportunities.
I’m proud to be a member and volunteer with one of my dogs, Riley Ross.
The Ross Family Foundation supports charities and non-profit organizations in order to make an immediate, positive impact on the lives of people and animals in our communities.
Founded in 1998, the Angels Foster Family Network is a 50c(3) non-profit, licensed foster family agency, specializing in placing infants and toddles with exceptional families in San Diego County. The Angels-mission is to rescue abused, abandoned and neglected young children, match them with a select group of foster parents, and ensure the maximum emotional, social and intellectual development of each child.

Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) was formed in 1960 by a group of hardworking volunteers, led by animal lover Maria K. Lloyd. The goal was and continues to be to care for the homeless animal population of San Diego County and to educate the public about pet over-population and responsible companion animal care.
In the nearly 50 years since our inception, RCHS has grown from a small facility run by volunteers to a professionally managed humane society that provides quality shelter care, adoption services, education programs and an animal safehouse program for the survivors of domestic violence.
